Our dread falls are constructed using massive amounts of synthetic hair - between 8 and 12 bags per pair depending on the style!  They are steamed using an industrial steamer - the same model that professional wig manufacturers use. 

Fall pairs have 30 dreads per side and are mounted on a double-row of lace to allow for maximum height and ease of wear.  Single dread dalls have 48 dreads each and are mounted on 3 rows of lace.  Chameleon Dreads are 24 per side for a pair and 30 on a single fall, but they are about 50% thicker at the top than our normal dreads.  This construction is designed for the average shoulder-length bun size so that the dreads are evenly distributed without having to overlap, making them difficult to secure and leaving most of the dreads hanging below your bun.

The falls shown above are all custom orders, but give you an idea of the style, lengths and color options.  If there is a color from our color chart that you do not see, it is most likely a special order or upgrade color, both of which are just slightly higher because they have to be shipped individually or there is a higher per gram cost from the manufacturer.  Please use the CUSTOM FALLS for a quote on these colors.

Falls can be made in any number you would like (I don't usually recommend less than 20 per side or 30 for a single piece) and in any length up to 40", which is knee-length on a 5'9" person like me.  There is an additional charge for length - afterall, it takes me much longer to steam them - and there may be an additional charge for more hair to make them thick enough.  I would love to design a custom hairpiece for any occasion (they are excellent for sci-fi cons!) and can work within any budget.  Just use the CONTACT US or CUSTOM FALLS page to get started!
